Terms of use

These terms apply while nihilus.dev is in public beta.

1. The site

nihilus.dev distributes free music software and donation-gated music from Nihilus. The site is operated by BlurpleTech Inc. Software and the site are in public beta and may change without notice. By using it you accept these terms.

2. Software

Software downloaded from this site is free for musicians under the license shipped with each product (see Licenses). All software, including NMP-080826, is public beta and provided as-is, without warranty. Features, availability, and builds may change without notice. We do not promise fitness for a particular purpose.

3. Music

Reference previews stream publicly. Full-quality downloads are a courtesy extended to donors via a download token, as described in the Donation terms. Downloaded music is for personal listening. Do not redistribute the masters or your token.

4. Tokens and suggestions

You may create a token without donating. That token is your identity on this site: it lets you claim a username, post software suggestions, and vote. Music downloads still require a donation, as described in the donation terms. Tokens are random secrets. Do not share them. Whoever holds a token holds that identity.

Suggestion boards are for product improvements. Do not post illegal content, personal data, or abuse. We may remove posts and revoke tokens that violate these terms. Marking a suggestion fulfilled means we shipped or declined it; it is not a contract.

5. Player and your files

The site player (NMP-080826) is a public-beta browser player. It can play public catalog previews and audio files you add yourself. Only add files you have the right to play. We are not a locker for other people's releases. Local files are read in your browser and are never uploaded to this server. An optional .nih backup is a file you download to your own machine. Playlists are not vault access. Music downloads still require a donation.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, attack, or attempt to bypass the token system. Do not claim usernames that impersonate the band, BlurpleTech Inc, or staff, or that are hateful or abusive. We may revoke tokens and usernames that violate these terms.

7. Liability

The site, software, and music are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
