Privacy

This notice applies during public beta.

No accounts

nihilus.dev has no user accounts, no passwords, and no tracking profiles. Your token is a random string; we store only a salted hash of it. You can create a token without donating (identity for suggestions and votes) or receive one after a donation.

What we store

• Donation records: amount, timestamp, Stripe session id, and an optional email for your receipt.
• Your optional public username (display only) attached to your token.
• Software suggestions you post, and which token ids have voted (not the token itself).
• Aggregate, public donation totals shown on the supporters board.
• Short-lived rate-limit counters keyed by IP to prevent abuse.
• NMP-080826 audio you add from your computer stays in your browser. It is never uploaded to this server. A .nih backup is a file you download locally.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the checkout flow.

What we never do

• Sell or share your data with advertisers.
• Store your download token in plaintext.
• Expose your email publicly - the donor board shows only username and amount.
